A youthful and caring municipality with over 27 800 inhabitants, has excellent traffic connections to the Metropolitan Helsinki area. The Helsinki Circle Road 3 is only 15 minutes’ drive away and it takes less than an hour to drive to Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. The Vanjärvi birdlife sanctuary will satisfy even the most demanding birdwatcher and the pristine Nummelanharju ridge provides jogging trails next to the central services of the neighbourhood. Lake Enäjärvi in Nummela and Lake Hiidenvesi connecting Nummela with the “Church Village”, the old administrative centre of Vihti, as well as a large number of smaller lakes form a natural background for water related leisure activities. The most imposing feature of the wild and beautiful natural surroundings of Vihti is the National Park of Nuuksio, most of which is located within the boundaries of Vihti.

For lovers of culture and fine arts Vihti is an excellent destination. Come and enjoy the numerous museums, art exhibitions, handicraft art and the classy theatrical performances. The summer theatre of Vihti is superbly located in the Church Village, on the shore of Lake Hiidenvesi.
